Energy Ratings
Building Codes of Europe and North America now place stringent requirements on the energy efficiency of the buildings design.The glazing system used is a major contributor to a building's energy performance .Double or triple glazing is the most cost-effective way of meeting these requirements. All of Primcor's systems are specifically designed to accept the thermally efficient double or triple glazing units .All of Primcors systems have been rated by Ekanal, and IFT Rosenheim Institute, the independent industry energy body responsible for measuring the thermal efficiency of the entire glazed window and doors .

Primcor Testing Laboratory
With our in house testing laboratory we tests various windows, sliding doors and custom curtain wall combinations. These tests have been both for specific projects and the research and development of various framing systems and glazing techniques. This in-house testing facility allows us to, provide customer satisfaction through the performance and compliance of our products and secondly, achieve customer confidence by continuing to supply products that reflect outstanding reliability and quality.
General Specifications:
Test methods (that can be undertaken at the test lab) include A2047 including the A442test methods. Testing to AS/NZS 4284 requirements and relevant ASTM test methods.
Test chamber can be modified to suit specific test sample, depending on sample type and test standard to be utilized.
Maximum size of test sample: approx. 9 meters (h) x 9 meters (w).

Static Pressure Range: approx. 0 - 8 kPa. (positive and negative)

Wind gusting simulation by cyclic pressure: 3 - 5 seconds(monitored by chart recorder)
Displacement transducer recording of sample deflections.(maximum of 45 readings)
Air infiltration measurement by orifice plates.
Maximum water flow rate of approx. 0 - 270 L/min.

Research and Development
WinFassade is a software producing static analysis for curtain-wall structures thus helping for the selection of the appropriate mullion or transom profile in terms of Moment of inertia.
